Overview of SMSTurbo PRICE SHEETS

Prices sheets are a specialized feature of the SMSTurbo Orders option. If SMSTurbo Orders are enabled, Price Sheets will allow users to set prices and rates for materials and then apply those rates to multiple Customers.  The price sheet's values trump the defined prices for the material and for the order at time of ticketing.   First, you must define a customer called "ZZPRICE" with price levels, then assign the level to the Customers.  See the  instructions below.

SMSTurbo Pricing Logic

When an order is used on a ticket the system will check that the "any material" check box is checked. If it is not checked

the system will check for the presence of "rates" on the order. Only the materials on those rates will be able to be used on

the order. If the "any material" box is checked then any material may be used on the ticket, on the order, but any material rates defined on that order will be used if those materials are selected. Otherwise it will look to 2 below.  So the order of pricing applied is as follows:

1. ORDER:RATE     -The rate defined for a particular material on an order is applied.

If there is a rate entry for the material under the order, it uses these rates.   If the rates are

zero  it goes to use pricing from number 2.  If there is no rates defined it uses pricing from 2.

2. Pricing Level ZZPRICE:SHEET  -The ZZprice sheet is a customer created and named the reserved moniker "ZZPRICE", on the customerID.  A series of orders are created for different material prices and then added to a customer on the customer maintenance screen.  This is called a Price Sheet.

3. Pricing Level ZZPRICE:SITE  -When the multi site option is used you can create a ZZPRICE price sheet with orders that are site specific. Create orders that are named the same name as the site to have them used exclusively with that site such as "site1" or "site2" These can then be assigned to a customer, and when a user is logged into that site, that order will be available if that customer shows up at that site.

4. MATERIAL TABLE   -The price listed for a material in maintain material will be applied.

If ALL of the values for a material are 0, and all options are exhausted, the price will be zero. If you wish to have the system

use a zero price pulled from an order follow the steps below. Also remember the any material check box will limit the displayed material choices. on a ticket.

Also concerning Zero prices, if there are ANY rate values defined (IE material cost at .001), Zero price will get applied at that level.

This is useful for a customer that wants to apply a 0 price to an order, and does not want the system to skip the order because it has 0 price. Putting the .001 in the cost field makes the system stop there and use that price ($0).

SETUP ZZPRICE USER & ORDERS (Price Levels)

  1. Go to Customer and create a new customer called "ZZPRICE" in the Customer ID field. This Customer, ZZPRICE will be used to define Price Sheets. ZZPRICE will NOT be used as an actual Customer in SMSTurbo ticket entry.  Orders are created for this "customer"  account to define the pricing used.  The name of the order description on the ZZPrice sheet is referenced on the customer maintenance screen next to Pricing Level and then selected for a particular customer. Orders may then be made site specific.

Site specific Price Sheets

Assign a  ZZPRICE account order ID a site number from the site buttons, if the SMSTurbo Multi site option has been purchased, to make the pricing structure specific to a particular site.

Use the site button at the bottom left of the maintain order screen to assign it.

2.  Click the Edit Rates Icon, add the materials and special rates. Create as many Orders as required starting at Order Number 2.  Each Order should have it's own set of material prices and rates.  See Edit Rates Tab instructions on defining Material Rates.

NOTE: Existing Orders (Price Levels) can be edited by typing in the Price Level ID and pressing Tab on the keyboard.  Or click the search icon to select from a list of existing records.

ASSIGN CUSTOMER WITH PRICE LEVEL

1.        Open a Customer who requires special pricing, choose the “Pricing Level" from the drop box.  Save the customer changes.

2.  Create a new ticket for that Customer and they will get the special rates defined in the Customer's Price Level for the matching ZZPRICE order.

NOTE:  If new price sheets were done after Customer tickets were already created, you can update existing tickets via the Apply Pricing option.  See Apply Pricing on how to apply price changes to existing Customer ticket.

NOTE:  If the feature described above is not available, the SMSTurbo feature may not be enabled.  See SMSTurbo Options or contact SMSTurbo Support  for more information.

How are material prices applied at time of ticketing?

If you wish to have the system use a zero price pulled from an order follow the steps below.
